The effects of synbiotic (Biomin imbo) on growth performance and survival rate of Texas cichlid larvae (Herichthys cyanoguttatus) were studied for 90 days. Fish were randomly allocated in 12 aquaria (10 fish per aquarium) and triplicate groups of Texas cichlid (initial weight 0.5±0.11g) were fed with supplemented Biomar. The larvae in control treatment were fed without supplemented Biomar. three levels of Biomar experimental diets were prepared by adding synbiotic (0.5, 0.75, 1 g/Kg) at the basal diet (Biomar) and the Texas cichlid larvae in experimental treatments were fed of the three levels of synbiotic with 5 percent body weight (3 times a day). The results clearly showed that fish fed the synbiotic had significantly increased final body weight in comparison to control treatment (P<0.05). The synbiotic also had significant positive effects on specific growth rate (SGR) and daily growth rate (DGR) in comparison to the control treatment. Also synbiotic had positive effect on fish survival rate but it had not showed any significantly different among treatments. The best results in growth performance and survival rate were obtained by feeding 1 g/Kg symbiotic (T3) and somewhat in T2 (0.75 g/Kg).

در این تحقیق، تأثیر استفاده از سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو در جیره غذایی بر کارایی رشد بچه ماهیان طلایی نژاد اوراندا بررسي شد. هدف از انجام این پژوهش، افزایش رشد ماهیان زینتي در کارگاههاي تکثیر و پرورش، در بازه زماني کوتاهتر و هزینه تمام شده کمتر بود. در این بررسي تعداد 150 عدد ماهي طلایي نژاد اوراندا در پنج گروه (شامل یک گروه شاهد و چهار گروه تیمار به مدت دو ماه با جیره غذایي حاوي سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو  )به میزان 0/5، 1، 1/5 و 2 گرم در کیلوگرم در جیره خشک) غذادهي شدند. زیست سنجي بچه ماهیان (وزن کل و طول استاندارد) هر دو هفته یک بار و محاسبه شاخص هاي رشد ماهیان در پایان دوره دو ماهه انجام شد. نتایج نشان داد که استفاده از سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو در جیره غذایي سبب افزایش کارایي رشد در ماهیان مورد بررسي شده و بیشترین درصد افزایش وزن بدن (53/76 درصد)، بیشترین نرخ رشد روزانه (0/12 درصد)، بیشترین نرخ رشد ویژه (0/12 درصد) و بهترین شاخص وضعیت (20/97) در تیمار تغذیه شده با جیره حاوي دو گرم در کیلوگرم سین بیوتیک مشاهده شد. بنابراین بهترین دوز پیشنهادي سین بیوتیک براي افزایش کارایي رشد بچه ماهیان طلایي نژاد اوراندا، 2 گرم در کیلوگرم جیره خشک معرفي شد.

This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of synbiotic (Biomin imbo) on growth performance, survival rate and reproductive parameters of Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) via supplementation with Biomar. Four levels of Biomar experimental diets (54 % protein and 14 % lipid) were prepared by adding synbiotic (0.15, 0.5, 0.75, 1 g/Kg) at a basal diet (Biomar) and the Angelfish larvae in experimental treatments were fed four levels of synbiotic with 5 percent body weight (3 times a day). The larvae in the control treatment were fed without supplemented Biomar. The results showed that larvae fed on the synbiotic had significantly increased final body weight in comparison with the control treatment. After 90 days, 5 adult female and male Angelfish were divided from each treatment. The results showed that fecundity in experimental treatments increased in comparison with the control treatment. The synbiotic also had positive effects on hatching rate in comparison with those in the control treatment but, there were no significant differences (P > 0.05) among treatments. The synbiotic also had significant positive effects on the specific growth rate (SGR) and feed conversation efficiency (FCE) in comparison to those fed the control treatment, however treatment T3 was more than T4 (T3 > T4 > T2 > T1 > control treatment).

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of synbiotic (Biomin imbo) on reproductive parameters of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) via supplementation with Biomar. The synbiotic were used in three concentrations of 0.5, 1, 1.5 g/Kg of diet (Biomar). The Zebrafish in experimental treatments were fed of the three levels of synbiotic with 4 percent body weight (3 times a day). The larvae in control treatment were fed without supplemented Biomar. After 90 days, 10 Adult female and male zebrafish (Danio rerio) were divided from each treatment. The results showed that fecundity in experimental treatments had significantly increased in comparison to control treatment. The synbiotic also had significant positive effects on hatching rate and rate of percentage of germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) in comparison to those in control treatment. The hatching time were also significantly decreased in comparison with the control treatment (p<0.05).

هدف از مطالعه حاضر تخمین اثرات سطوح مختلف سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو بر روي رشد، بقا، ترکیب لاشه و هزینه غذا در بچه ماهیان سفید دریاي خزر بود. این آزمایش به صورت طرح کاملا تصادفی درقالب 4 تیمار و هر یک در 3 تکرار طراحی گردید. مکمل سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو در 3 سطح 2 گرم بر کیلوگرم، 4 گرم بر کیلوگرم، 6 گرم بر کیلوگرم به جیره غذایی پایه اضافه شد. بچه ماهیان در طول روز در 3 وعده براساس 10 درصد وزن بدن به صورت دستی در طول 70 روز تغذیه شدند. بچه ماهیان سفید با وزن اولیه 8/1 ± 2/623 میلی گرم به صورت تصادفی در 12 تانک فایبر گلاس 100 لیتری با تراکم 2 لارو/ لیتر توزیع شدند.  نتایج به دست آمده از آزمایش نشان می دهد که بچه ماهیانی که از جیره هاي فاقد مکمل سین بیوتیک تغذیه شدند، عملکرد تولیدي کم تري نسبت به سایر تیمارها داشتند. افزودن سین بیوتیک به جیره هاي غذایی بر روی پارامترهاي رشد(وزن نهایی، درصد افزایش وزن، میزان رشد ویژه، میزان بازده پروتئین، بازده غذایی و میزان جذب غذاي روزانه) تاثیر مثبت و معنی داری گذاشتند، در حالی که ضریب تبدیل غذایی به طور معنی داري کاهش یافت. فاکتور وضعیت در بین تیمارهاي مورد مطالعه اختلاف معنی داري نداشت. افزودن سین بیوتیک به جز پروتئین در سایر ترکیبات لاشه تأثیر معنی داري نداشت. در نهایت وقتی تمامی متغیرها بررسی شد، سین بیوتیک بایومین ایمبو موجود در جیره ها منجر به کاهش معنی دار هزینه تمام شده غذا و افزایش معنی دار شاخص سود گردید.

Also survival rate in experimental treatments in comparison with control treatment, was significantly increased (p<0.05).

The present study was carried out to evaluate the effects of synbiotic (Biomin IMBO) on haematological (white blood cell (WBC) and red blood cell (RBC) counts, haemoglobin (Hb) concentration, haematocrit (Hct), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC)) and immunological (immunoglobulin (IgM) and lysozyme activity) components of Russian sturgeon, Acipenser guldenstadti. Five experimental treatments and one control group with three replicates were considered. In treatment groups, fish were fed with diet containing 1 (T1), 1.5 (T2), 2 (T3), 2.5 (T4) and 3 (T5) g synbiotic/kg diet. In control group, fish were fed without supplement of synbiotic. Blood sampling for haematological and immunological studies was done at days 20, 40 and 60 after the beginning of the experiment. Based on our results, synbiotic supplement had no significant effects on values Hb, Htc, MCV and MCHC compared to control group (P>0.05). Also, in all experimental t  atments, these parameters did not considerable changes during the course of the experiment (P>0.05). The effect of synbiotic supplement on MCH was not significant (P>0.05); however, this value was higher in synbiotic supplement treatments compared to control group. MCH had no significant changes during the period of the experiment in all experimental groups (P>0.05). In all synbiotic treatments, the values of WBC count, neutrophils, monocytes and eosinophils were higher than control group (P<0.05). Only, lymphocytes in synbiotic supplement treatments were lower compared to control group (P<0.05). Also, WBC count showed a decreasing trend during the period of the experiment in all synbiotic supplement groups (P<0.05). Synbiotic supplement increased RBCs compared to control group; however, this was not significant (P>0.05). The values of RBCs in T4 and T5 showed an increasing change over the course of the experiment (P<0.05). The immunological components, i.e. IgM concentration and lysozyme activity, were found to be higher in synbiotic supplement treatments compared to control group (P<0.05). The present status of world shrimp culture is still in a critical stage due to the outbreak of infectious diseases and environmental problems. Closely connected with the state of health of the animal is a well balanced intestinal micro-flora, which helps the digestive and absorptive process and protects the host against invading pathogens. An instable gut microflora and a vulnerable immune system are highly susceptible to pathogenic infections. The establishment, maintenance and stabilization of a beneficial gut microflora and an optimized unspecific immune system are crucial to withstand pathogens. An experiment was conducted to study the effect of inclusion of probiotic bacteria, phycophytic mixtures and the symbiotic effect of different substances on growth performance, survival and health condition of white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) reared under laboratory condition.
Groups of twenty juvenile white shrimp (1-1.5 g) were stocked in 200 liter glass aquarium and fed to satiation 5 times daily during a 6 week period. Four isonitrogenous and isocaloric test diets were prepared. A single probiotic-phycophytic mixture and a multi-strain probiotic mixture containing Enterococcus faecium were added to a basal test diet at an inclusion rate of 0.5 %, while a mixture of herbal extracts was tested at an inclusion rate of 0.0125%. A basal diet with no probiotic, phycophytic or herbal substances was used has control diet. Six replicates for treatment were used. Growth performance and immune parameters (total hemocyte count, granulocyte count, phenoloxidase activity) were recorded after the six week period. Detection of probiotic bacteria in diet and shrimp gut (hepatopancreas and intestine) was determined by culture method and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) technique.
The results indicated that Enterococcus faecium can survive in the feed after feed preparation, under cool dry condition and colonize the shrimp digestive system (hepatopancreas and intestine). The total number of vibrio found in the digestive tract of shrimp fed probiotic-phycophytic and multi-strain probiotic mixtures was lower than control group. This evidence showed that probiotic Enterococcus can distribute through the shrimp gut and induce a positive impact on bacterial ecology of the gut by reducing the number of vibrio through competitive exclusion. The shrimp fed the probiotic-phycophytic supplemented diet showed better growth performance and FCR when compared to those fed the control, herbs extract and multi-strain probiotic mixture. Hemocyte count was significantly higher in shrimp fed diet with the probiotic-phycophytic substances when compared to other groups. Phenoloxidase activity and granular hemocyte was also higher in the probiotic-phycophytic diet, although not significant different. This seems to suggest that the algae and cell wall fragment present in the probiotic-phycophytic mixture elicit the immune response and contribute to the increase health performance of the shrimp. The results also seem to suggest that a multifunctional approach combining different beneficial substances is a more advanced solution to improve gut performance and health status in shrimp.

این آزمایش جهت بررسی اثرات جیره های مکمل شده با سطوح مختلف سینبیوتیک(بایومین ایمبو) بر عملکرد رشد و بقا ماهی قزل آلای رنگین کمان انجام گرفت. این طرح با سه سطح 6/0، 3/1، 2 گرم به ازای هر کیلوگرم غذای خشک و در طرح کاملا تصادفی و در 4 تیمار و 3 تکرار و 120 قطعه ماهی و 12 قطعه ماهی در هر تکرار به مدت 40 روزانجام گرفت. ماهیان تیمار شاهد از جیره بدون سین بیوتیک تغذیه شد. تغذیه بر اساس 2 درصد وزن بدن و 3 بار در روز انجام شد. نتایج حاصل نشان داد فاکتورهای رشد به طور معنی داری در تیمارهای آزمایشی نسبت به تیمارهای شاهد افزایش یافت. درصد بقا ماهیان تیمار شاهد در مقایسه با تیمار 3 اختلاف معنی داری نداشت و بین تیمارهای آزمایشی 2 و 3 با تیمار شاهد اختلافات معنی داری رویت شد. نرخ رشد ویژه در تیمار شاهد با تیمارهای آزمایشی 3 و 2 اختلاف معنی داری داشت. فاکتور وضعیت یا ضریب چاقی CF در تیمار 3 با تیمار شاهد و تیمارهای آزمایشی 2 و 3 اختلاف معنی داری را نشان داد.

We investigated the efficiency of Synbiotic (Biomin imbo) in alternation and stabilization of gut microflora of Russian sturgeon, Acipenser guldenstadti. For this purpose, five experimental treatments and one control group with three replicates were considered. In treatment groups, fish were fed with diet containing 1 (T1), 1.5 (T2), 2 (T3), 2.5 (T4) and 3 (T5) g Synbiotic/kg diet. In control group, fish were fed without supplement of Synbiotic. Sampling for bacterial studies was conducted at days 20, 40 and 60 after the beginning of the experiment. According to results, there were no significant differences in total bacterial count between Synbiotic treatments and also in comparison with control group 20 days after the beginning of the experiment (P[0.05). At days 40 and 60 of experiment, the highest total bacterial counts were observed in control and T1 group respectively. At day 20, the lactic acid bacteria count was higher significantly in Synbiotic treatments compared to control group (P\0.05). In all sa  ling times (i.e. days 20, 40 and 60), the highest lactic acid bacteria count was observed in fish fed with 3 g Synbiotic/kg diet i.e. treatment 5 (P\0.05). In each experimental group, total bacteria and lactic acid bacteria counts increased significantly as the duration of experiment expanded. In this regard, these parameters were significantly higher at day 60 compared to day 40 and 20 (P\0.05). In conclusion, our results showed that Synbiotic (Biomin imbo) alters and stabilizes efficiently the microflora of Russian sturgeon gut towards lactic acid bacteria in a time-dependent pattern.
