Mycotoxin Risk Management
Mycotoxins are highly toxic secondary metabolic products of moulds mainly produced by Fusarium, Aspergillus and Penicillium species. The most common and regularly encountered mycotoxins can be divided into six major categories: aflatoxins, zearalenone, trichothecenes, ochratoxins, fumonisins and ergot alkaloids.
The structural, chemical, biological and toxicological properties of mycotoxins are diverse. Toxicity levels are extremely variable, depending on intake level, duration of exposure, animal species, sex, age, breed, physiological status, nutritional standing, environmental conditions (including hygiene, temperature, air conditioning, humidity, production density) and eventual synergisms between mycotoxins simultaneously present in feeds or foods. The main toxic effects are:

Silage quality management
Biomin BioStabil Mays is BIOMIN´s product for corn silage with high ensilability but low aerobic stability such as corn whole plant or high moisture corn grain silages. This well balanced formula of selected homo- and hetero-fermentative lactic acid bacteria improves the fermentation process as well as aerobic stability during the feed-out phase
Biomin BioStabil Mays comprises carefully selected strains found to occur naturally in silages.
Biomin BioStabil Mays improve fermentation for a wide spectrum of corn silages. Aerobic stability or bunker life of the silages is strengthened even in an opened silo. This results in a higher dry matter concentration, and greater nutrient and energy recovery in the silages, providing a guarantee of higher profits

Powerfull Phytogenics
Animal production is facing several challenges. The need for gut health and optimal feed conversion is even more evident in present times of volatile raw material prices.
Biomin P. E. P. 1000 is the phytogenic product. All active components of the products in this range are of plant origin, carefully selected for a unique phytogenic formula.
Stress factors such as feed change or harsh environmental and housing conditions can lead to decreased feed consumption, impaired digestion and poor nutrient utilization. Biomin P. E. P. 1000 is a flavoring additive, specifically designed to improve digestion and feed conversion.
